Money back guarantee Terms & Conditions

To be eligible for the 30 day 1500km money back guarantee the Purchaser must adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy.  Failure to do so will result in the customer unable to return their vehicle and receive a refund.

The 30 day period commences when the customer takes delivery of the vehicle.  The 1500km is in addition to the noted odometer reading at delivery.

Purchaser requirements upon return of vehicle:

  1. The customer must deliver the vehicle to our dealership in person with:
  2. Provide sufficient identification.
  3. Provide proof of purchase (contract/tax invoice).
  4. Provide a completed refund form (available from your sales consultant)
  5. If you have been issued with one, provide vehicle registration form.
  6. In an acceptable condition outlined in section “Condition of vehicle”
  7. Proof of vehicle transfer and Stamp Duty paid, if available.
  8. Customers are responsible to pay vehicle Stamp Duty. DVG is not responsible for the payment of Stamp Duty, neither does it form part of the refund.
  9. If a vehicle is financed, the customer is responsible for all costs to finalise the loan and these costs will not form part of the refund amount.
  10. If financed external to the dealership, a valid payout letter is required from your financier to complete the refund process.
  11. Proof of encumbrance paid.
  12. Private use vehicles only, no commercial use vehicles qualify for this offer.
  13. If a trade-in formed part of the purchase of the vehicle, DVG can choose to keep the trade in and refund the customer the purchase price as listed on the contract.

Condition of vehicle:

  1. The vehicle must have completed less 1500km since delivery.
  2. The vehicle must be clean and in the same condition as when it was delivered.
  3. All accessories, spare keys and vehicle manuals must also be returned with the vehicle.
  4. If the vehicle shows obvious signs of neglect and/or abuse, a refund may be denied.
  5. If dents are larger than 5cm2, a refund may be denied.
  6. If any modifications have been made to the vehicle a refund may be denied.
  7. Any accessories fitted to the vehicle after delivery that can not be removed e.g.: tint, and will not be reimbursed.
  8. Accessories fitted before delivery form part of the purchase price and will be included in the refund.
  9. Insurances and warranties do not form part of the purchase price and will not be refunded.
  10. Any misrepresentation, fraudulent conduct, bad faith, misleading information or unlawful conduct by the Purchaser in the opinion of DVG disqualifies the Purchaser from claiming under this policy.

Financed vehicles

  1. If the Vehicle has been financed, the Purchaser will be liable for any fees, charges or penalties, including any payable to the financier or by DVG, due to cancellation of the finance.   The refund under this definition is for the invoice price of the vehicle only.


  1. This policy includes, and does not seek to exclude or limit, the rights the Purchaser has under the Australian Consumer Law. DVG goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The warranties and product support that DVG offers and provides are in addition to the consumer warranties and guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

When will we not refund a vehicle:

  1. A refund will not be available to if the vehicle has changed ownership from date of purchase.
  2. Money Back guarantee is not available to commercial buyers.
  3. More than one exchange 1 per year.
  4. On an encumbered vehicle.
  5. After 30 days has passed since delivery of vehicle
  6. If more than 1500km has been travelled since delivery.
  7. If a customer can not or refuses to settle any finance fees, charges or penalties to release the financier’s security on the vehicle.
